Commissioning

At Break The Mould Furniture we feel that commissioning a piece of furniture should be a very personal experience between the client and the designer/maker. We like to get to know you, your personal style and way of life. We often take inspiration from your home and personal belongings, this way the piece will reflect your personality and suite your life style.

Once an enquiry has been made, Stuart will contact you to arrange a consultation to discuss over your brief and possible areas which help distinguish the design.

Stuart will then create some designs and inspiring ideas which are then presented to the client - where the decision of the most suitable design and materials are chosen.

When a design is chosen, the details are sorted and a price is agreed, we require a 50% deposit of that price to secure the commission.

We then take your design to the workshop and carefully craft your new piece of furniture.

The outstanding 50% of the agreed price will be required on delivery.

Furniture made on commission can be made from a number of materials whether these be from, hardwoods such as Oak, Walnut or more usual timbers or a mixture of materials to create the desired pieces.
